The Bowen Technique
The Bowen Technique was developed in the mid-20
century by an Australian named Tom Bowen.
He had no formal medical training and his interest in massage and
soft-tissue manipulation started from his love of sport.
By the 1970s, Tom Bowen was one of the busiest therapists around,
seeing nearly 250 people a week. Since then, Bowen has been taking the sporting world by storm and is used at the highest levels. It is one of the world's first treatments to have immediate results with acute sports injuries as wells as reducing likelihood of new injuries.
Renowned Sports Therapist, Craig Mattimoe, sums it up: “After 15 years of treating and preventing athletic injuries, I can confidently report that no other broad-based modality in all of North America, comes close to Bowen. Bowen literally outshines all of the current accepted
sports techniques, both traditional and alternative.”
